Traktip - Preparing Your Site for Issuetrak 14

It’s time for another Traktip!

We’ve been talking about our Issuetrak 14 update for months now, and we’re excited to announce that the release date is finally here! On-Premises customers can download the update on our Support Site, while Cloud customers will see changes reflected on May 11th, 2021.

While your site will transfer seamlessly to our new navigation layout, there are a few minor adjustments you can make to ensure everything looks perfect after the transition.

Logo Resizing and SVG Support

We’ve mentioned the logo adjustments in one of our previous blogs, but as a reminder, the placement and sizing of your logos will change slightly due to the removal of the top navigation menu. The top left logo will be resized, and the top right logo will be moved to above the “New Issue” button on the left menu.

One of the changes coming in Issuetrak 14 is that all of our logo fields will support the SVG file format, which scales perfectly regardless of resolution. We recommend updating your existing logos to SVG format so they will continue to look great even after they are auto-resized once your site upgrades to the new layout.

You can also resize your logos manually if you prefer - for best results, use a horizontal image for the top bar logo in the range of 130-140px by 20 px. For the Left Menu, 200px by 45px is ideal.

Remove HTML from Site Title Field

Another change coming in Issuetrak 14 is that the Site Title field no longer supports HTML. Users could previously put italics, line breaks, or other HTML coding into their Company Title, but now the field only supports plain text.

Adjust your Site Title to prepare for this update by navigating to the “Site Appearance” settings in your Issuetrak Site.

PowerShell Utility (for On-Premises Only)

For On-Premises customers, you will need to run a PowerShell utility that will put your site’s logos in the correct place after you log into Issuetrak 14. We have taken care of ensuring that the login screen looks the same during the upgrade, but the logos inside the app will be missing unless this script is run. The script can be found within the Utility folder of the upgrade.

And there you have it! If you have any questions about the upgrade process for Issuetrak 14, or have any questions or concerns about this new release, please reach out to your Account Manager or to our Support Team!
