HIGHLIGHTS

IssueTrak 9.7 focuses on expanded process management capabilities. With this version it was clear that extending our process management feature set would deliver significant value to our users. Strengthening these capabilities benefits everyone who uses Issuetrak - our core help desk, customer support, and service desk constituencies as well as the groups that are using the software in innovative ways.

In addition to process management enhancements, features were also added to improve the Report Writer, TrakPC asset discovery utility, and Active Directory import capability. Easier User ID maintenance and more extensive new user setting options make IssueTrak administration simpler. Security updates are also included. HIGHLIGHTS

IssueTrak 9.6 extends process management capabilities by expanding criteria -based rules for Substatus, Escalation and Surveys. More criteria options allow finer control over automated actions that can be geared toward supporting multiple initiatives. Process workflow has been enhanced with new task response triggers. These triggers add lists of tasks based on specific task responses, allowing workflow to react dynamically in order to direct flow in response to a “Yes”, a “No”, or an “N/A” Our Asset Management module makes short work of tracking asset availability. New quick status lists make asset availability and checkout information available in a flash. Check items in and out, search, and review history quickly and easily. Management of software licenses has been enhanced as well. IssueTrak 9.6 allows you to assign licenses directly to users and assets, review license counts and renewal dates at a glance. Installing and upgrading IssueTrak has been streamlined in this version, offering automated installation and upgrade for more server environments than ever before. Sending outgoing email from 64-bit environments becomes easier and more reliable with IssueTrak 9.6. A new email method is available to replace SQL Server

New Mobile Interface

Our new Mobile interface provides users with quick and easy access to the most frequently used issue, KB Article, My Issues and Dashboard functions from their mobile device. It also displays issues in a simplified screen format you may customize to include additional fields and field requirements—as well as specific field orders—through your System Settings.

This functionality requires no additional client, application and/or purchase from IssueTrak. Once you install IssueTrak 9.5.5, all users that navigate to your IssueTrak site from a mobile device will automatically be taken to its Mobile interface. If not, the device and/or OS may simply need a few settings adjusted. For example, IssueTrak Mobile will not automatically open when a device is set to run as a PC. Also regardless of settings, keep in mind that the device or OS may slightly alter certain display elements according to its own specifications.


Enhanced Quick Pick Administration

Administrators can now Add and Edit a Quick Pick without having to include pre-defined values for Required Fields. This means any of those fields may be left open so users must determine the value as they Submit that Quick Pick.

Highlights 

Version 9.5 brings a completely new look and feel to IssueTrak. This new look includes automatic color shading and rounded screen portals, as well as a Site Banner. More importantly, the new design takes IssueTrak functionality and ease-of-use to a completely different level. Shortcuts to frequently used options—such as System Settings, Lookup Issue # and Logout—are included in the new Top Bar on every screen. Access to all available menu and submenu options is also built-in to the new Menu Bar displayed on every screen. 

Section headers—such as Overview, Supporting Info, Responsibility and Resolution Info—are now used to group related fields together on issue screens. Hovering over a popup link—such as details, history or trak tip— automatically opens a preview window with that information. Typing characters into a popup search or Quick Pick field automatically creates a selectable list of relevant values based on those characters.

  • Auto-preview functionality added to Details, History, Trak Tips and SLA-based popup links on Issue screens

  • Automatic disabling of Rich Text Editor when accessing site from mobile browser
  • Date/Time stamp of current data loaded on Dashboard screen
  • User-defined sorting of previous data load maintained during automatic Dashboard reload process
  • Organization, Time and Severity data on Dashboard Issue Lists and Unassigned Issues List
  • Specific Start and End Date criteria maintained in Scheduled Reports based on Saved Searches

  • Thumbnail Photo option added to User records
  • Pager Email field relabeled as Pager/SMS Email in User records
  • Hints popup for basic setup and common carrier addresses added to Pager/SMS Email field in User records
  • Issue Class added to Issue Details token for Default and Custom Email Notification Messages
  • Load Default screen for Submit Issue added to Feature settings for Custom Screens
  • Clone option added to Custom Screen records
  • Rollup Issue Labor Hours as Project Actual Time option added to Feature settings for Projects
