If you're familiar with current Issue Type and Subtype restrictions, you now have extended options to use those same restrictions with the Knowledge Base.
In addition to having the option to mark Knowledge Base Articles as "private" so that only technicians or support staff can view them, you now also have the option to limit access to Knowledge Base articles or categories to certain Organizations or Groups.
For example: Say you only want to allow the Human Resources Group, IT Admin Group and the IssueTrak, Inc. Organization access to the KB Article Titled: Please add a new user. You would log in as Admin or a User that has access to edit Knowledge Base Articles, then click on add on the right hand side

Next, you’ll get a pop-up to Select Group and/or Organizations. From the Available Groups select: Human Resources and IT Admin Group. Then from Available Organizations select: IssueTrak, Inc.
Finally, click Update. You should then see that the particular KB Article is restricted to just the Human Resources, IT Admin Group and the IssueTrak, Inc. Organization.
To Fully Utilize this Feature, Knowledge Base must be enabled with the System portion of your Administration menu. **If you need assistance on this feature or any feature, please consult the Help Icon within your IssueTrak site. Clicking on the icon will take you to the specific section of your Help files.
