We've made improvements to the Task Manager increasing your ability to create workflows. The new process options gives more flexibility when completing tasks by allowing you to insert task groups directly into your process. The answer to a Yes/No/NA Task can now dynamically add an additional task group, cancel the remaining tasks on the existing list, or both in any combination. This allows you more control over your workflow processes, in addition to setting up decision tree branching
For example, one of the things we see most frequently is the need to have a checklist when a new employee starts. You can use task groups to create a list of steps that are required each time a person joins your company. Using multiple task groups, you can control everything from the HR aspect to the IT and Facilities pieces. For example: See the diagrams below
When a user clicks "Yes" on Adding Insurance Task
Insurance Tasks then add to the Task list
To utilize this feature, Tasks must be enabled through the System portion of your Administration menu. And, a Task Group must exist before it can be inserted into another Task Group, so you may need to work your process "backwards" to make sure all the appropriate groups exist.
